Teachers are asked to keep up to date with the activities of the local and provincial association. Information for teachers can be found on the Association's website(www.teachers.ab.ca) Please take the time to access the site and find out what your association is doing to promote teachers and public education in Alberta. Consider getting involved at the Local and Provincial levels. Information on how to get involved can be gotten from the Local School Rep in each school.

All Association members, please take the time to sign in to your TNET account and review the recommendations from the mediator. Member Information Meetings (MIMs) (to help inform you of the recommendations in the report) will be held in-person in major centers, or via Zoom.
The links to those sessions are also available once you log into your TNET account and you may choose to attend the one that works for you.

As per the terms of the agreement between the government and The Alberta Teachers' Association, a C2 Committee has been formed for the local. The committee will meet with the board with its main goal being to reduce the workload of teachers. If you have any concerns about teacher workload or how to reduce the workload contact a member of the committee. The committee members can be found in the ABOUT THE LOCAL section of this website.
